What temperature should my car be running at?

I have a 1997 Oldsmobile that runs at around 200-210 most of the time. When in idle it gets higher and when I'm driving of course it gets cooler. Is this too high? I haven't had any lights come on but I really don't know how hot the engine should run at normally?
