Lower intake gasket leak?

I have a 1998 oldsmobile cutlass gsl and It has been overheating I took it to a mechanic and was told it was the lower gasket, I have antifreeze on the manifold. My car just got a new engine it's under warranty can I get another engine or can I get it fixed for free? and what is the dexcool recall? Can anyone help?
