Will a 3.0 V6 Engine work on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue?

My Taurus went out (transmission) but the engine is still good. I saw an Intrigue that needs a motor but is currently going off of a 3.5 V6 engine. Can I swap out the 3.5 and put the 3.0 in?
